The Search Engine Multi-server of GVS currently recognizes more than 50 generalist broadcasters video sites from all countries and origins, as well as sites of adult video (Option).

Presets

 

Selection of videos for specialized or thematic sites

 

To create thematic selections (eg: the 100 best videos about Elvis Presley, Charlie Chaplin or the cartoon Sponge Bob) that occurs within minutes and is very simple!

Open GVS Manager (see image):
Search, select, save and publish your selection.

Within minutes your GVS has become a thematic video site.

 

 

 

Presets by Keyword and automatic searches.

 

This function is absolutely unique. It can offer your visitors instant links to all videos related to a specific topic. Example: The top 100 of "People", or the list of sports, most popular artists of jazz or rock from the '50s to today, or lists of top models, comedians, TV shows, movie stars, political, etc.. To do this it is easy too!

 

• In administrator panel of your site, enter all the keywords or names of individuals you want in the text box provided for that purpose.
• In frontend, every word from your list immediately turns in direct link to the corresponding videos.

 

Your visitors will not even need to search, they will just click on the names. This function is currently connected to the API of Youtube, the most effective. But it will soon be possible to extend it to other servers.

 

 

Playlists of Youtube

 

• Simply enter your Youtube ID, choose the template "gallery" and publish!
• All the videos in your Youtube Playlist are now displayed on your site in a customizable interface with colors of your choice.

 

Installation - Documentation

Required

 

• PHP 5.0 or more
• Mysql 5
• Joomla 1.5
• Possibly PHP Curl (If you offer adult videos).

 

Installation :

 

In your administrator panel, go to Extensions -> Installation.
Choose the downloaded zip file and click on "Upload & Install". 

 

Usage :

 

In the menu "component", click on "Global Video System" icon and then click the "New". For a first test, did not change the default settings, just click "Publish" and "Save".

Your GVS page is ready it just have to assign a menu to display on your site.

Also in the administration interface of your site, go to the menu "Menus", choose "Main Menu" then click on "New" icon in the item menu manager.
In the tree menu, select "Global Video System" and "GVS page". Enter a title for your menu item. Check if a page is selected in the settings at right and save.
You're done! Open your site and click on the menu you just added.

The GVS page should be displayed and you can change it as you like by touching up the default settings.

The administration of GVS contains many settings, but everything has been designed for easy operation.

Each parameter is documented in detail and you can use GVS without technical knowledge.

Global Video System is a component for Joomla! 1.5 native MVC mode. Licence GPL for the interface part, "template" and administration. Javascript ajax and search code are licensed owner. You can use GVS on personal websites or commercial.
